The Indiana DNR conducts turkey and quail permit hunting on this property, turkey and quail hunting would only be allowed after the DNR hunts are concluded for the respective seasons. For 2022 season the DNR will conclude turkey hunting on May 8th leaving you May 9th-15th to hunt spring turkey.
The perspective 2022-23 DNR quail hunting dates are December 30 & 31st and January 6 & 7th. Leaving January 8-10th for you to quail hunt if desired. These dates are also late enough so as to be minimally impactful on the late archery deer season.
The DNR is also tentatively doing quail habitat improvements on this property including planting food such as milo/sorghum and improving native grasses and vegetation this will no doubt be very beneficial for the deer and other wildlife and should create additional hunting opportunities.
